Spiritual Goal, A Year of Coming Unto Christ by Developing Christlike Attributes: June is Patience

Spiritual Goal, A Year of Coming Unto Christ by Developing Christlike Attributes: June is Patience,

In January, I had this thought that I wanted to come more unto the Savior. So I decided to start focusing on His attributes. Each month there will be a Christlike attribute focus. We focused on Faith in Christ for JanuaryHope in FebruaryCharity and Love in MarchVirtue in April and Knowledge in May.  I love being more intentional in striving to be more like my Savior. You could do this individually. Or  you could invite your Relief Society Sisters, Ministering sisters, friends or Young Women to engage in the study and development as well.

Here is the schedule for the year:

As, I saw what June's attribute was, I thought to myself, there could be no better attribute right now, that I could be focusing on! You could say that my patience has been wearing thin lately. We have a puppy, who's potty training is not going perfectly. I have a million things going on in my life right now, so I'm a little stressed trying to get everything accomplished. It's crazy how stress, seems to make you have less patience. So, I'm excited to study this then next couple weeks. I'm sorry that it is mid month and I'm just getting this one out. I usually, like to have them out the first of the month.

In Preach My Gospel there is this quote about patience, “Life is full of difficulties, some minor and others of a more serious nature. There seems to be an unending supply of challenges for one and all. Our problem is that we often expect instantaneous solutions to such challenges, forgetting that frequently the heavenly virtue of patience is required.”
—PRESIDENT THOMAS S. MONSON
