December Week 4 Topic: I have a testimony that I am a child of God

Preparation:

Prayerfully study and think about what the specific needs of your primary are and how you can teach them this doctrine. The most important thing is to love those you teach and to teach them by the Spirit!! Focus on building their testimonies and helping them come unto Christ!  (All printables for this sharing time can be found and printed by clicking the "Free Printable Download" button. They are free and can be printed and used for personal and church purposes)

Sharing Time Instruction:

Discuss with the primary children what they learned last week and how the applied it into their lives.

Begin Sharing Time, by placing the "Testimony" papers under the chairs. Ask the primary children to look under their chairs and see if they have a paper under their chair. Invite the children who do, to come up to the front of the room and put the letters into order. Ask the primary children to say what the word says, "Testimony".

Ask the primary children what a testimony is? Explain that it is something we believe in or know to be true because of the witness of the Holy Ghost.  Explain that the Holy Ghost can witness to us that we are a child of God. He can make us feel warm and happy inside.

Show the primary children the week's theme poster and invite them to repeat, "I have a testimony that I am a child of God."

Give each of the primary children the "I am a child of God" printable. Invite the primary children to write or draw ways that they know that they are a child of God. For example, I know that I am a child of God because he has given me a family who loves me. While the primary children are writing and drawing, have the pianist play "I am a Child of  God."

When the children are done, invite some of the primary children share what they wrote and draw and how they know that they are a child of God.

Close by sharing your testimony and invite the primary children to continue to strengthen their testimony throughout the week.
