December Week 3 Topic: I will prepare to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

Preparation:

Prayerfully study and think about what the specific needs of your primary are and how you can teach them this doctrine. The most important thing is to love those you teach and to teach them by the Spirit!! Focus on building their testimonies and helping them come unto Christ!  (All printables for this sharing time can be found and printed by clicking the "Free Printable Download" button. They are free and can be printed and used for personal and church purposes)

Sharing Time Instruction:

Discuss with the primary children what they learned last week and invite them to share what they did to apply it into their lives throughout the week.

Show the primary children the week's theme poster and invite them to repeat, "I will prepare to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ Again."

Show the primary children the word "Prepare" ask them what does it mean to "prepare"??

To prepare means that we get ready for something. Right now we are preparing, or getting ready to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

Lets play a little activity to help us discuss ways that we can prepare to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus again.

Around the room place the following pictures: Scriptures, Baptism, Prayer, Attend Church, Be Kind, Listen and Obey Parents, Follow the Prophet, and Keep the Commandments. Invite the primary children children to sing the song, "I am a Child of God". Have them pass an item (like a stuffed animal, or bean bag) around as they sing. Randomly stop playing the song.

Whoever has the item, will find one of the pictures. Have them bring it to the front of the room and discuss as a primary how doing that thing will help them prepare to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus again. For example, if they choose the "scriptures" picture, then you could discuss how the scriptures teach us the things we need to do, they help us build our testimonies of the Savior, they invite the spirit into our lives, so we can make the right choices, and they help us receive answers to our prayers.

Pick up where you were at in the song and start singing again and passing the item around. Stop randomly and whoever is holding the item will go find the next picture to discuss. Continue as long as time allows.

Close by sharing your testimony of preparing to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. Invite the primary children to do those things they discussed today.
