August Week 4 Topic: Answers to prayers come from Heavenly Father in many ways.

Preparation:

Prayerfully study and think about what the specific needs of your primary are and how you can teach them this doctrine. The most important thing is to love those you teach and to teach them by the Spirit!! Focus on building their testimonies and helping them come unto Christ!  (All printables for this sharing time can be found and printed by clicking the "Free Printable Download" button. They are free and can be printed and used for personal and church purposes)

Sharing Time Instruction:

Follow up with the primary children with what they learned last week.

Show the week's them poster and explain that last week we learned from the scriptures some of the ways Heavenly Father answers our prayers.  This week we are going to apply it a little bit more into our lives.

Review with the primary children the ways Heavenly Father answers our prayers, "Through peaceful feelings", "Through thoughts in our minds and feelings in our hearts", "Through the actions of other people", "Through the scriptures", "Angels, like an angel appeared to Alma the Younger"

Give each of the primary children the "Heavenly Father Hears and Answers My Prayers" printable (see free download below). Invite the primary children to think about a time when their prayer of someone else they know's, prayer was answered. Invite them to draw a picture about how that prayer was answered. (Tip: to get them thinking you can share an example of how your own prayers have been answered.)

When the children are done drawing their pictures invite some of the primary children to bring their picture up and explain to the rest of the primary children how Heavenly Father has heard and answered their prayers.

Thank those children who have shared their experiences and encourage all of the primary children to share their pictures with their families.

Close by sharing your testimony on how Heavenly Father answers our prayers.

  1. Hi Kim! I'm a relatively new Primary president and have been using your sharing time ideas for the last few months. Thank you for them, they are great!! Will you be doing a 2018 Primary Sacrament Meeting Program Outline and cover this year? If not, no worries, I just wanted to know if I should be watching for it. The previous Primary president in our ward scheduled our program for mid-September this year, earlier than normal.
