July Week 1 Topic: Heavenly Father planned for me to come to a family.

Preparation:

Prayerfully study and think about what the specific needs of your primary are and how you can teach them this doctrine. The most important thing is to love those you teach and to teach them by the Spirit!! Focus on building their testimonies and helping them come unto Christ!  (All printables for this sharing time can be found and printed by clicking the "Free Printable Download" button. They are free and can be printed and used for personal and church purposes)

Sharing Time Instruction:

Invite them to listen to the song, "The Family is of God". As they listen have them think about what today's listen is going to be about.

After the song, ask the primary children what they think the lesson is going to be on? Families....

Show the primary children the week's theme poster and invite them to repeat, "Heavenly Father planned for me to come to a family."

Show the primary children a picture of Adam and Eve and their family. Explain to the primary children that families are an important part of our Heavenly Father's plan for His children. Before, we came to earth we were a part and are still a part of our Father in Heaven's family.

From the beginning of this mortal world, families were a part of it. This is a picture of Adam and Eve and their family.

Show the primary children a copy of, "The Family: A Proclamation to the World". Explain that it in we learn the importance of families and our roles in our families.

Explain that we are going to play a little activity to learn about our Heavenly Father's plan for a us to come to families.

Matching game:
Place on the board two of each of the printables face down. Invite a primary child to come up and turn over two of the pictures. If they match then discuss it as a primary. If they do not match they get turned back over. Invite another primary child to come up and pick two more, trying to find a match. Continue until all have been matched or until time runs out.

Close by sharing your testimony of families.
