Preparation:
Prayerfully study and think about what the specific needs of your primary are and how you can teach them this doctrine.
Sharing Time Instruction:
Begin by showing the primary children 3 objects (A letter/Envelope, A Telephone, and a small computer). Toy phone and computer would even work or if you do not have these objects, pictures of them would work also here is a link to a sharing time that I shared such pictures: Prayer is reverent communication with Heavenly Father . Somewhere on each object have one of the following scriptures: 3 Nephi 18:19–20; Doctrine and Covenants 19:28, 38; 88:63–64. Ask the primary children, "What do these three objects have in common? Or in other words what can we do with all of these objects?" Discuss with the children how each of these objects could be used to communicate. Invite the children to share with you how they can communicate with their Heavenly Father. Discuss with the children that we pray to our Heavenly Father. Explain that on the three objects are three scriptures that teach us about prayer, these are teaching from the Savior. Invite a primary child to come up and pick one of the objects. Invite the primary children to look up the scripture if they have their scriptures with them. Then have the child read the scripture, if they are too young or need help you can read the scripture for them. After each scripture is read discuss with the primary what that scripture teaches us about prayer. Continue with each object/scripture.
Next, explain that we are going to learn about HOW to pray to Heavenly Father. Show the first poster, "We bow our heads, close our eyes, and fold our arms. We begin by saying "Heavenly Father"". Discuss with the children why it is important to bow our heads, close our yes and fold our arms. Discuss why we begin by saying "Heavenly Father".
Then, Show the children the poster, "We thank thee. We ask thee". Explain that after we say Heavenly Father, then we start expressing gratitude to our Heavenly Father for the things He has given to us and done for us. Invite the children to share with you some things they are thankful to their Heavenly Father for. You can write these on the board or on the paper, under "We thank thee." Then explain after we have thanked our Heavenly Father, we then ask Him for the things we would like His help with. Invite the children to share some things they could ask their Heavenly Father. Write these on the board or on the paper, under "We ask thee."
Lastly, Show the children the poser, "End by saying, "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." Discuss with the children why it is important to end our prayers by saying, "In the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
Remind the children that when we pray to Heavenly Father we are communicating with Him, we should say heart felt prayers and really talk to our Heavenly Father. We should also allow time to listen, to feel and allow our Heavenly Father to communicate with us.
Show the children the Week's Theme Poster and invite them to repeat, "My love for Jesus Christ grows when I pray." Invite the primary children to think about HOW their love for the Savior can grow as they pray. Invite a few children to share their thoughts.
If time allows you can give your children the How to Pray printable and invite them to color it and to write some things they can thank and ask Heavenly Father for.
Close by sharing your testimony on prayer.

DeleteThere are two methods of setting up a small company, home business office network. The first technique is to have one main pc as the discuss factor for files and printers. This is usually the pc that will be powered on the most. Method two, each pc has its own discuss factor. This is where every pc can connect to every other pc that has a discuss file or printer enabled. http://daily-crossword.com/
