Preparation:
Prayerfully study and think about what the specific needs of your primary are and how you can teach them this doctrine.
Sharing Time Instruction:
Begin sharing time by having a stuffed animal or doll that has 4 bandages on it. One each of the bandages have one of the following scriptures written on it:
Explain that when we have a scrape or cut we will often put some medicine on it and then place a bandage on it to help it heal. Explain that when Jesus was on the earth He healed the sick. Hold up the week theme poster and invite the children to repeat it, "Jesus Christ can heal the sick". Explain that on the bandages are some scriptures that tell us of some ways Jesus healed people. Invite a primary child to come up and take bandage off of the stuffed animal. Read the scripture or if it is an older child invite them to read the scripture. Discuss the story with the primary children. Asking questions such as, Who did the Savior heal? What was wrong, why did the person need to be healed? etc. Continue inviting a child to take off another bandage and so on, until all scriptures have been discussed. Give each child a paper (see printable above) Invite the children to draw a picture about each of the scripture stories of Jesus healing others. If older children would like to write about each of them they can do that instead. Invite the children to take their papers home and share them with their families.
Close by sharing your testimony of the Savior's ability to heal others.
