Sharing Time Instruction:
Begin sharing time by inviting three children to come up. Have one child hold the picture of the 10 commandments and another hold a set of scripture. "Show the children pictures of the Ten Commandments and the scriptures. Ask, “Where did these come from?” Explain that they came from God through His prophets to help us know what to do..." Have the last child hold "The Family: A Proclamation to the World". "Show the children a copy of “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” and explain that it came from God through His latter-day prophets to help our families." (from 2014 Sharing Time Outline: October week 1)
Using the "Family Member Printable" above. Write the song & song number on the back of the paper family members. Place the paper family members with written side facing the board onto one side of the board. Also place the word-strips from, "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" onto the opposite side of the board (see printable above).
Invite a primary child to come up and choose one of the paper family members. Have the children sing the song that is printed onto the paper family member. When the song is finished, invite another child to come up and pick which word-strip from, "The Family: A Proclamation to the World", relates to the song. For Junior primary you could have them to an action on the key words that relate to the correlating paragraph.
Close by sharing your testimony on the week's topic and invite the primary children to read, "The Family: A Proclamation to the World", often and live by its teachings.
