Family Home Evening Instruction:
Begin Family Home Evening by sharing a story either about yourself as a child or a story about an ancestor.
As a family read: "July 2014 FIRST PRESIDENCY MESSAGE: The Promise of Hearts Turning, BY PRESIDENT HENRY B. EYRING" You could take turns reading the paragraphs.
Give each family member a "OUR FAMILY INTERVIEW SHEET", see printable below.
Have each family member take a turn interviewing another family member, asking them the question on the paper that correlates to them. Continue until the paper is completely filled out.
Give each family member another sheet, "All About Grandma and Grandpa". You could give them two sheets, a set for each side of grandparents. Invite them to visit with grandpa and grandma within the next couple weeks and interview them and fill out their sheets. (If a grandpa or grandma has passed away, ask someone who knew them well to help you fill in the answers to the questions)
Also give each family member a heart, from the printable below. Have them write a message on the back or draw a picture and secretly deliver it to one of the family members sometime during the week.
Invite family members to bear their testimonies about how the prophesy of the hearts turning to their fathers is being fulfilled in their own life.
Close with a Family Prayer.
